Negatives: nasty pool - floating hairballs and cloudy water; slightly dirty rooms (a few hairs here and there); slightly small bathrooms and a little bit of a rundown feel; our four poster beds were creaky, waking all of us up in our family of four when someone turned over in bed.

The rooms are large and well-appointed, and the two-bed rooms all seem to have two bathrooms, which was really nice for families.

All in all, the convenience of this hotel was nearly unmatched for activities on the San Antonio Riverwalk; however, I would not recommend this hotel for families with children simply because of the lack of amenities available to make their stay more pleasant.
