    We also ate at the 'rare' restaraunt and thought its classic american burgers and salads were excellent - even if the drinks are a little pricy.

    I didn't have the FAMOUS BURGERS but I has a cobb salad and it was GREAT.

    All in all i understand why some reviews have called the rooms dated but they are HUGE by New York standards and very well kept - if you have an eye for design you will actually see the hotel as vintage and classic and remember, when you have the entire of New York City on your doorstep, how long are you going to spend in your hotel anyway?!
