The first impression once you emerge from the revolving door is downtown lounge, followed by a sense of soothing bed-and-breakfast intimacy brought on not the least by the wrap-around library shelving in the lobby.

The location was so much better than I realized: three blocks to South Street Seaport, close to Brooklyn Bridge, and only blocks in the other direction to Ground Zero.

It is a little out of the way but we like that, its only a short taxi drive from midtown and Soho and as it is so close to Brookyn bridge its great for an evening stroll.
