The location is perfect, you aren't right on the crowds of 5th Ave, so is it calmer but still provides easy access to everything.

Whenever friends visit NYC for the first time, my advice has always been: *Ride the Staten Island Ferry*Check out Grand Central Station*Walk up Fifth Avenue*Have tea in the Four Seasons lobby; it's a great break; very relaxing in a great setting.
