The only plus was they were filming the next Batman movie for a few nights literally on the next block over in the middle of the night on the downtown streets of LA.

We stayed at this hotel based upon its centralized downtown location and proximity to the University of Southern California (USC) campus as we were moving our son into the USC dorms for the first time.

If your intention is to be downtown your entire visit then its perfect however it is far from Beverly Hills/Hollywood area.

The Wilshire Grand is located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles and we could clearly see the Staples Center from our window.
