The hotel was basic but very clean, decent breakfast, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

On the other hand the staff was absolutely fabulous and extremely helpful, and they give coffee and pastries for breakfast which is great because none of the restaurants there open early.

You are 2 mins from a small shopping mall where you can get some great diner style food or Japanese, cocktails etc and see the hollywood sign (which wasn't lit up at night surprisingly).

the selection for the continental breakfast was fine, we really only ate something just to tide us over til we found somewhere else to eat though.
