PROS: The location in relation to the Apollo theatre and shops/restaurants etc was very good.

We booked the Macdonald the day before we stayed so that we were close to Manchester Picadilly train station and it was perfect, just 2 minutes from the station and 5/10mins to the fab shopping.

room service is very expensive and so is the mini bar (so deferntly take some snacks with you, to stop you being tempted) or their is lots of food shops in the train station right next to the hotel.
