The location is excellent, both in terms of being walking distance to the Blue Mosque/Haya Sofia/Topkapi Palace area, as well as having a nice shopping bazaar and charming restaurant district (through the bazaar and down the hill a block) a couple blocks away.

Many shops and restaurants were also conveniently close and a little less frenetic than Sultanahmet Square.

There are also really interesting shops in the vicinity with prices no different than what you find at the Grand Bazaar.

There is a good small grocery store next door (down the hill).

The rooms are spotless, we had a refridgerator so we stocked up on the great fruit from the market, as well as water, beer and raki.

Istanbul is such a safe city, not once did we feel threatened when walking at night or in the crowded shopping areas.

The location is just behind the blue mosque and there is a great shopping parade nearby.
