we researched a lot of tripadvisor hotels when we were planning our vacation for 50ish parents and 18 and 21 year old young adults and it seemed like tashkonak was ideal for us- a reasonable rate for a safe and intimate place, and not a generic american 'tourist hotel' where you are insulated from where you are.

We were accomodated in separate rooms on the same floor and both our rooms were very comfortable - incredibly clean and had an intimate and personalised feel compared to many hotel rooms in major chains.

I prefer small, locally operated hotels in mixed areas that include residential and local retail and when I'm travelling with my loved one - they have to be romantic too!
