the rooms are not as large as typical american generic chains, but have operable windows and shutters [beautiful patterns on the curtains at sunrise], modern baths [although the shower base does get a lot of water pooling], air conditioning [a must in istanbul summers], and the hotel as many note has a superb rooftop brunch and deck spaces overlooking the sea of marmara, which we also used to sip some efos [the local beer] at nite.

Alright the shower room was 'compact' but clean and modern and we paid just 214 euro for 4 nights.

The hotel is clean and neat, good internet connection, excellent food and just all a person would need to have a really good time in an historic (not a sterile modern hotel) spot with lots of local charm.

The hotel has a tasteful, authentic appearance and decor, but provides modern facilities (plus free internet connection) and spotlessly clean.

The rooms and lobby were perfect restorations except for the private baths which were fully modern and bright.

It had a very modern but also very small bathroom, good water pressure, clean towels and bedsheets, rather smallish but very good mattresses, very friendly reception services (in English and also a bit of German).

The major sites are on the doorstep and the modern tram to the rest of this river-edged city is a few minutes walk up the hill.
