Add it all up and for me it was unbeatable, location, staff, amenities and good food, it's got the lot and we will be staying there again when we next visit Istanbul.

The things that made my stay great were as follows: the friendliness and helpfulness of staff; the cleanliness of the room; a nice swimming pool, which I seemed to be the only person using whenever I went; The breakfasts were fantastic; The complementary apple tea on arival was appreciated, as was the free eats during happy hour in the Bar; there was also a good range of TV channels to watch and free WiFi Internet (signal could have been a little stronger).

The restaurant is fine and the bar is quiet and an excellent refuge if the constant pleas to buy/ eat/drink outside gets too much.

I particularly liked the welcome on arrival (tea and pastries, useful info and maps) ,the bowl of turkish delight in the room, the daily tea and delicious snacks (free), the two-for-one beer at 'happy hour' with the smiling barman, and the wonderful view from the very good value restaurant at the top.

We never had difficulties in getting the best seat in the restaurant, as long as you booked early enough.

Breakfast was good and in the afternoons they supplied free refreshments from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
