    We also found that shopping was much less frantic here at kata beach than at patong beach.

    Sawasdee Village itself is located within one of the side streets with a convenience store right at your doorstep.

    The walk itself is pleasant - with lots of shops, restaurants and bars along the way to make it more interesting.

    Plenty of restaurants and massage places around, very cheap, beach is 10 minute walk, shopping is good also, much less touristy than Patong Beach.

    There are several massage shops across the road that are very reasonable and good; we had massages 3 our of the 5 nights we were there!

    Kata and Karon beaches are a short ride away and have plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and a great mini golf course - Dino Golf!
