THE RESTAURANT Meals at the resturant were fantastic, although a little pricey.

CONS: Expensive food and drinks in the Hotel itself, you have to pay for sunbeds on the beach (200 Baht/day)but sunbeds at pool are free, we went in low season so the hotel was only about 25% full which made it nice but quite quiet.

We booked Kata Beach Resort in January - and between then and our trip, which we've just returned from, I began to wonder if I'd made the right choice given the recent poor reviews of this hotel on this site.

You have to pay 5 euros if you want 2 filthy broken loungers and stay on the beach granted it's not all prebooked.
