If you go to Patong pay about £6 (300 baht) each way for the tuk tuk or taxi, great shopping but you must barter the price.

Plenty of places for eating, enjoying a drink or ten, and shopping nearby, but at this time of the year the beach is not as it appears in brochure photographs, because of the windy conditions.

The hotel is at the quiet end of Karon beach but has plenty of bars shops etc within 5 mins walk, the beach is just a 1 minute stroll from the front entrance.
