Just don't stay too much at the hotel, take advantage of its central location and enjoy the beautiful island!

The bad is as follows, surly impolite staff (rude, tired, untidy), the resort is built over a swamp with uneven board walks (everyone trips on them) for access, breakfast tastes like it came from the swamp, if you forget to hand back your beach towels you get a rude bang on the door at midnight from security demanding them back for the day, there are misquitos every where and they are hungry and the size of sparrows, there is a loud club next door that plays dance music till dawn, the resort is popular with loud louts and chinese masses who shout everywhere they go, the bungalows are small basic (though I admit clean enough).

Overall I would say avoid unless you are a very small step above all the filthy, smelly backpackers that Phi Phi is crawling with.

The real problem with the hotel is that it sits next to the Islands sewage treatment works and has a sewage overflow drain running by the side of the hotel and add to this ponds of stagnant water around the hotel complex and it is easy to understand why the hotel and the island as a whole has a constant smell of sewage in the air and hotel rooms, there were also high levels of mosquitos which we did not experience on the surrounding islands.

The water in the rooms is salty but i believe this is common on PP because its an island.

This is a budget hotel not a luxury stay and with the smell of the ponds downstairs we were glad not to be in a bungalow.
