    The reception staff are rude and unfriendly and we were without power for a day and half, and had to spend one very uncomfortable night without air conditioning.

    The hotel also lacked the little extras that often are standard in Thailand and so ended up being very ordinary.

    This time we were charged for a small bucket of ice, the buffet breakfast was very average, the wireless internet was expensive, there was no 'happy hour' , the 'in room' toiletries were very basic and not good quality.

    Room was filthy, I couldn't open the windows as the room was above a stagnant pond and the insects were all over the place - large gaps between the wall and the window frame meant I still got bitten half to death on my first night.

    The rooms are big but nothing fancy, but just what you need for a Thai holiday.

    The staff were very nice and the room maid was very good [ the supervisor checked the room every day after it was cleaned which I thought was a bit over the top] Plenty of Resturants, best of the bars was The Lighthouse .
