When we first got to the hotel it seemed very nice, the staff were very friendly but didn't speak a great deal of English and the rooms were absolutely gorgeous - really large and luxurious.

This first negative impression was quickly countered by the friendly bell and front desk staff which whisked away our luggage, brought us refreshing (and complimentary) lemongrass welcome drinks as we were waiting to be checked in, and personally walked us to our room.
