A 6h le soir si vous voulez, par exemple, contempler le coucher de soleil, vous avez une musique en fond sonore parfois assez agressive et qui n'a rien de l'atmosphère assez zen dégagée par la conception même de l'établissement.

The rest of the holiday however was usually very sunny or slightly cloudy and pleasantly hot – just meant for us that we had to hide under a parasol by the pool, but this was hardly a chore – the infinity edge pool was beautiful and cool, and there was plenty of space around it to lounge and relax (Layana was about half full in low season).

We stayed in a standard garden room, which was spacious, cool, clean, quiet and very pleasant.

Margie and Bob who own the hotel are very hands on and it is credit to them that they have such an amazing place with their staff giving some of the best service I have ever had The whole experience of the Layana continued throughout our stay, the pool staff were on hand to provide presh towels, cool drinks and humour throughout the day, most mornings the girls from the spa would come to the beautiful pool and offer to massage your head or feet.

We did go out for some meals and would recommend Funky Fish for lunches (turn right up the beach, 10 minutes walk) and Lanta Seafood in Saladan (10 minutes on tuk tuk - 100 baht each way) for dinner.
