    The food was relatively inexpensive, but as you would expect the wine was understandably pricey as it is imported.

    The Layana was relaxing, the food was amazing (loved the fresh fruit smoothies at the breakfast buffet each morning), the staff was friendly and attended to our every need and they took the time to get to know us over our short stay.

    The rooms are immaculate, the restaurant beautiful, fantastic food with great range and the pool is sublime.

    We had a wonderful week at Layana, waking up with birds singing in the garden and having wonderful meals everyday at the restaurant -- reasonably priced, so dinner exodus is meaningless -- saw great sunsets and had nice drinks by the beach.
