Food and drink in the hotel was similar to UK prices, which is expensive for Thailand and you could get some much better deals down in town but it was great for a treat.

We had a room only rate - I would recommend going for a B&B rate as breakfast is really expensive otherwise.

The beachfront villa is exactly the same however everyone can see into it so wouldn't pay the premium price.

They are pricey and was once over the top but these days everything is negotiable and they are now pretty compeititive.

If you can get a good deal(rack rates are exhorbitant) and are fortunate to avoid small children you will enjoy.
