    Being a Thai I had the benefit of being shown around by a friend who knows Chiang rai really well and she took us around for nice food at local restaurants.

    I was a bit worried because I had seen in the reviews that someone said that the breakfast was ridiculous but it is not true.

    The staff were very polite & helpful, good buffet breakfast,hotel is set in beautiful well maintained grounds, generally very relaxing & inviting gardens & great pool.

    First of all, for 3700 baht, having to pay for internet and breakfast is pretty ridiculous.

    There was plenty to choose from each morning - and several mornings we were lucky enough to get one of the 3 or 4 outdoor tables in the sun -- otherwise, it was a bit chilly out for breakfast.

    The staff were lovely, the food was amazing, the location is gorgeous and the swimming pools are out of this world.

    It was very quiet and quite pricey for Thailand but the food was good and they didn't charge us corkage for taking our own wine.
