The Sunday Market uses one of the streets in front of the hotel and you can enjoy an evening of browsing the market without going far from your room.

All the staff at the Tamarind village are a credit to the hotel, location is first class very quiet ,try to be there for the Sunday market great shopping.

Every Sunday the roads are closed to traffic for a street market - shame the hotel didn't tell us this on booking, luckily our luggage consisted of rucksacks so wasn't too much of a problem - but if arriving on a Sunday make sure you have a good map.

If you can be in Chiang Mai on a Sunday, the town sets up a HUGE street market right outside where the hotel is - It's fantastic for shopping!

We recommend staying on a Sunday night, as you will be in a peaceful haven, right in the middle of the excitement of their huge markets as far as the eye can see.
