I've stayed at 6 different Shangri-La's in Asia and this was the first one that I felt represented a poor relative value, given its premium price: No breakfast included, all miscellaneous items, mini-bar, etc.

The buffet at 399THB++ in their restaurant is also very good value, there is also free corkage on a Tuesday and Wednesday night, if you want to take some of your own wine/champagne with you, as this is less good value, but that is pretty pricey anywhere in Thailand.
