Slightly outside of the main section of the city the Puripunn offers a quiet respite from the hustle of central Chiang Mai.

One of the high lights of our visit was walking around the neighborhood of the hotel which is a historical neighorhood with friendly neighbors and so close to the Ping River preservation houses now turned exquisite art galleries, tasteful shops with high quality arts, home decor items, Thai silk clothing, not your run of the mill junk stuff at all.

We appreciated also the hotel location which is a short and pleasant walk to the city's center however a really quiet experience due to its typical traditional neighborhood.
