My only complaint would be that the person at the tour desk ( which I think might be a private tour company) was relatively unhelpful and expensive compared to others in Chiang Mai.

It is not overly expensive but by purchasing online you can stay in much nicer hotels in Chiang Mai for less!

The electrical surges made it seem unsafe especially when all the power went out randomly and my partner was in the shower.

Especially after 3 not so good nights of sleep (in the airplane, in a terrible hotel in Bangkok en in the nighttrain to ChangMai =which is nice, but in a hotel you sleep better)!
