It is the most amazing value for money and is relatively close to the famous Night Market but far enough away (some 10 minutes walk) to avoid all the noise.

One of our recommended trips (we arranged these through ATT travel, which we accessed from the local railway station)was to have a taxi picking us up from the hotel and, for the next 2-3 hrs, driving us to see some craft-making, for which Chiang Mai is famed, taking place in various locations, with opportunities but no pressure to buy.
