Location was ideal (near train stop) - and plenty of foot massages on the nearby corner, a MUST for all travellers, by the wat, but particularly those who spend 8 or so hours shopping.

The spa is nice but you pay a mint for any treatment The experience had gone from fab to rather ordinary, and as there are plentyl of fancy hotels in Bangkok, I would not give it another try.

Tastefully-designed and spacious rooms with a hint of modern Thai interiors; big bathroom with a separate shower cubicle and tub; sumptuous breakfast buffet at the 2nd floor (38th floor for club rooms); reasonable-priced room service; great restaurant outlets, especially the wine bar, good spa and very welcoming - albeit narrow - lobby where people can meet in an effortless fashion.
