    Much of that can be attributed to my travel companions, but the Plaza Athenee and its staff also contributed to the trip with their helpful advice, cheerful demeanor, comfortable rooms and amazing value.

    We requested the airport limosine service which was well worth it, and a lovely way to arrive in Bangkok for our first time.

    Upon check-in, the staff offered me a club room for USD 50 surcharge, which was well worth it, as it included breakfast, evening cocktails and internet access.

    The lounge for breakfast alone was well worth the money alone, the best selection of breakfast food of any hotel I have stayed at.
