Compare to other 4-5 star hotels this one is the most cost efficient for the same offerings Area recommendations Either near the central train mrt station where you can travel anywhere in town with equal distance and time or east side where the more well to do live and with safer cleaner environment Getting around Taxi are readily available at the main entrance Central train and MRT stations are just 5-10miin walk down the street What to pack Try to dress in layers like an onion lol In the mornings and walking down to the shops, train and mrt stations or in the evenings coming home from a day of shopping or sight seeing could be chili and when you work up a sweat from walking, shopping you can take each layer of clothing off to adjust your warmth Shopping A short walk to shops and department stores k mall, a couple of japanese malls like sogo and 新光三越 Apple store electronic stores were all nearby so if you forget your charger you can purchase it around there (although the hotel let you borrow theirs if you need it but they don't have ipad chargers at the time I was there, just for iphone and ipod only but one staff was friendly and nice enough to lend me his ipad charger and allowed me to take it to my room to charge my ipad for a few hours and I returned it before he gets off work.

Dining Great brunch buffet Conveniently located on the 1st floor with large dining room spacious and nice atmosphere with high rise ceiling but service could be better we had to ask twice for our coffee ..

There are McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Starbuck, 7 11 all a short walk from the hotel Try the egg tart down the street on your way to taipei central train station, on the same side as the hotel

The closeness to Shandao temple MRT was a bonus too, which is an easy walk away.
