Monastery Hostel located in San Bartolome Monastery in Alcantara. The monastery, sited in the outskirsts of Alcantara, was built in slate masonry and was devoted through the years to the production of flour. The cloister stands over squared pilars that finish in semicircular archs, covered by a groined vault. Entering Hospedera Conventual de Alcantara is penetrating in Extremaduras late 15th Century history. Around this age, the San Bartolome Monastery was built to house the San Francisco Order and, eventually, a flour mill. The restoration of the building keeps the spirit of the original construction, which provides an unrivalled charm and serenity while offering all the comforts and services of a selected hotel.
