Mornign Star Resort is less than four km from Haad Rin-the site of the famous full moon parties. Nearer to the resort are the sites of the black moon-50 meters, and half moon parties-500 meters, though not as big as the full-moon, they are quite popular. The easiest way to get to the resort, is to take a flight to Koh Samui, and then a ferry to Koh Phangan. Morning Star includes a night club-open twice a week, restaurant, and two bars. The next most popular activity when on the island by far is the diving, with Sailrock as one of the most popular sites. After a day of diving and partying, head to Wat Pho for a herbal sauna.
