Casa Branca is in a great location as you can walk down to the harbour easily (not so easy back up the hill but good exercise!

The location of the hotel was good - on the town end of the 'hotel zone', so both areas were in easy walking reach, and it was just set apart from the other hotels enough to feel secluded.

Lunches were normally had 'on the road' (we had hired a car to explore the island) and for dinner we had fun experimenting with the wide variety of local restaurants catering for every taste and budget, all within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Downtown Funchal itself is packed with restaurants and to be honest we didn’t eat at one I could recommend to fellow TripAdvisors.
