Everything is clean and in good order in both communal areas and the rooms, the air-con works well, the beds were comfy, the pool/ area is well kept, the WI-FI internet (in the main lounge) worked, the free shuttle bus from the hotel to the centre works out well during the day - but taxis are inexpensive and on time/early when booked.

Inaugurated as a five-star hotel in 1989, the sunny Quinta da Bela Vista is surrounded by the magnificent landscape of the Island of Madeira and benefits from mild weather throughout the four seasons of the year.
Dating from 1844, this Madeira Quinta is proud to have been the first to have been converted into a hotel and still belongs to its original family.
Engaged in the traditions of the past and preserving the art of good hospitality above all, the hotel lives up to its name by existing on two acres of exotic and luxuriant gardens made up of plant species from the four corners of the world that inspire moments of pleisure and communion with nature.
Every space is an inhalation of history, tradition and good taste. Contemplate the pieces of a priceless private antique collection that spans three centuries of European culture.
