Grasmere Lodge is in the Southern Alps of the South Island, 90 minutes drive west of Christchurch. State Highway 73 is in good condition with little traffic and the lodge is well sign posted. A compli

mentary transfer is available by prior arrangement from the Tranzalpine Express Train stop at Cass.
