I agree the rooms are small, but that is to be expected in central city hotels - room size was fine for 2 of us, but would have been cramped with 4 people.

For a central city location where I could leave the car parked and walk everywhere, James Cook Hotel is great.

The James cook Hotel in Wellington is a good location near the shopping areas, banks and supermarket.

Service is good and the price - the hotel always offer special rate per room/ night and good for 3 to 4 people on standard rooms.
