    It was a little walk from the main going out streets such as Cuba Street - probably about 10-15 minutes - but had some good shops and bars nearby so it wasn't a problem.

    They had the most helpful and efficient bell staff, directing me to the good coffee shop and shopping area, and when I came back, my luggage was already in the taxi boot waiting for me.

    Neither especially costly nor especially cheap, the hotel is located in downtown Wellington, and is convenient to a lot of shopping, food, etc.

    A quiet weekend of shopping for me + my sister, all we needed was a bed for 2 nights but The Holiday Inn far surpassed that.

    The hotel is situated, close to everything ( walking distance to Te Papa, Parliament, the cablecar, super markets, restaurants, shops, the train station and bars.

    The walking was good exercise however the street above featherstone (lambton quay) has got lovely shops.
