My only complaint was that the guy who checked us in at the front desk had no idea about the general area and so steered us on a wild goose chase for dinner, when in fact there were really no places to eat in Christchurch in the evening because of all the construction from the earthquake.

A free shuttle is available to the airport and the popular Antarctic Centre, and the Metro bus to downtown Christchurch stops right at the hotel (across the street when going into town).
