    PROS: Friendly efficient staff; Upgrade to newly refurbished room; close to airport ( we had an early morning flight to catch); free shuttle bus to and from airport; free drink on arrival; free concessionary bus ticket to town centre.

    The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing and the welcome and "bend over backwards to please" attitude of the front desk staff is indeed exceptional.

    I stayed at the Commodore for several nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay – I was accommodated in the newly refurbished rooms and they are fanstatic probably the best rooms in Christchurch.

    I liked the Copthorne a lot, but it was a tiny bit pricey for a room, and then to have to pay for internet.
