  1.
(airport transfers, etc,) The area around the hotel had wonderful small shops, cafes, bookshops.

  2.
The hotel is in a residential area with some shops but if you arrive on a Sunday as I did, don't expect a whole lot to be open in the way of shops or convenience stores as I found only one a few blocks away, one more than the front desk staff thought I would.

  3.
Thermal Pools up at Waiwera and plenty of shopping and markets around, Titirangi and the Arataki Visitors Centre worth a look.

  4.
We ate in most of the time, there is a very good grocery store nearby with an excellent deli.

  5.
The hotel is actually in the charming town of Takapuna Beach which has lots of browsable shops and cafes.

  1.
There is a great little shopping mall a few blocks away - if you're looking for a cheaper spot to get a meal or to get a few essentials.

  2.
The hotel is in a slightly dingy area, and even the main shopping strip at Takapuna is very ordinary.

  3.
Takapuna is close to the highway with easy access north and south but it also has plenty of shopping, cafes etc in its own right.

  4.
has plenty of shops and restaurants nearby--try Aubergine a 10 min walk away--great spot for locals of all ages and service and food top class at a good price.
