    We had a lovely room, quite luxurious in feel, nice furnishings with a view over the roof terrace, pretty good size with a comfy bed and boasting a large bathroom, with both bath and separate shower.

    we paid an upgrade of $55 per night , this included a luxurious room on one of the top three floors, free car parking, continental breakfast and pre dinner cocktails and orderves in the club lounge which had amazing views over Auckland.

    I imagine this hotel would been stunning and luxurious when it opened in 1989, it does still has some luxury to it, but its really in need of refurbishment, from what i could see alot of signs of wear and tear all over the hotel, and this could be once again a 5 star hotel if they invested some money into it!..

    The room was gorgeous - really luxurious with a huge balcony, a seperate bedroom (huge bed) with a large ensuite bathroom (spa bath, seperate shower and seperate toilet - oh and I should mention the TV as well - it was great fun watching while in the spa) and a seperate 'guest' toilet off the main room as well.
