Breakfast was expensive.

the food wasn't good, drink was over priced and the beer was quite flat but then again i just wanted a place to dump my stuff and enjoy amsterdam and the Park Plaza has decent rooms to do so.

The area is really well to do, with plenty of small restaurant/bar/brasserie-type establishments for a nice dinner and drinks.

This is a decent hotel in a VERY nice quiet residential neighborhood, next to Vondel Park, on a tram line, clean rooms, great breakfast (extra cost), WiFi (extra cost).

The hotel itself was excellent quality with a big clean room and excellent breakfast!

We were travelling with our daughter (51/2) and the park was wonderful for picnics and walks (little supermarket 2/3 blocks down - great food variety for this), great tapas restaurant also around the corner.
