    The walk into the central market area isn't bad (20 minutes or so) and although it is a bit removed, the walk is a good way to get a taste of Marrakech right off the bat, and the hotels close to the markets are more budget variety and are probably 1/2 as nice at best.

    The souks are an acquired taste and will reduce most people to jelly after a few minutes and as a people who hate shopping perhaps not the best place for us !

    And after a crazy day shopping in the souks , I always looked forward to 'returning home' beause that is how Howard, Martyn and the staff made you feel.

    I especially enjoyed the tour of a spice shop that provided us with the opportunity to learn about different spices used in Morrocan cooking.
