As mentioned before, breakfast was lovely and a great way to start the day.

We were made to feel most welcome, and ate some great food during the time we were there, the only shame was that there was not a swimming pool, the plunge pool was good to cool off in, but if you needed a little exercise it was too small.

It's location was 10 minutes walk to the main square and we thoroughly enjoyed are walk through the local area giving us a sense of community and also walking off the lovely breakfasts.

El Altair is a traditional Moroccan-style residence, tastefully decorated, situated in the residential quarter of Bab Doukkala, right in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech. The winter salon (with fireplace), the Mbou, and the summer salon all open onto a tree-shaded courtyard and its refreshing plunge pool. Breakfast, as well as an afternoon Moroccan tea, are served in the courtyard or on the terrace. The rooms, spacious and air conditioned, each have their own private bathroom. The two terraces offer a splendid panoramic view of the Atlas Mountains and of the Koutoubia mosque.
