The staff were helpful without being 'in your face'; the bedrooms are impeccable and full of original touches (miles away from the tired Orientalist chic peddled elsewhere in Morocco); the proprietress was gracious and welcoming.

The rooms, both private and public, were spacious and stylish, the gardens were a delight, and we had free run of any of the 4 pools that were open.

We knew before booking that the concept was that of a stylish hideaway with no TV, phone, minibar or room service, however we did not realise that also meant that we would need to actively seek information about the property's services (a sheet of paper in your room does not equate); clean pool towels; drinks by the pool(s) etc.
