For us, there is 3 reason for visiting Langkawi , good food at Wonderland Food Store ,cheap chocolate's and last but not least staying at Westin Langkawi.

The location is about a 15 min walk from Jetty Point where there is a 7-11, KFC, a duty free shop, starbucks and a good souvenier shop.

You could take a 10minute walk to nearby Charlies for the sunset and a basic dinner (also where East Marine Divers takes off from for diving and snorkling adventures), to the local ferry port/mall (there's a Starbucks, Kenny Rogers, and some other touristy shops) and to the areas biggest mall (ATM machines, McDonalds, local food court , grocery store).
