    It was in a good location but next time we'll ask for one located between the Reception complex; that houses the bar, a couple of restaurants and the gym; and the Beach House, where an open air cafe (perfect for lunch) looks out over a pool and the Andaman Sea.

    great hotel, friendly staff, fantastic rooms and pool- the spa is also recommended- the location is not a problem if you hire your own car.

    Our bathroom had marble his and hers wash/dressing areas and there was incence with an incence burner in the central bath area.

    As we stayed for a full week we benefited from a room upgrade to a villa - I have a one bed apartment in central London and our villa was larger!

    The location is spectacular - the villa rooms huge and with amazing rainforest views, the staff were 100% brillant...

    We went for dinner at the four seasons which is around £100 extra a night and although the hotel architecture was stunning the service and location were very poor and not a patch on The Datai.
