    . The market is rubbish, mainly food and trash, but the local shops have some interesting things in (not to mention wine beer)

    a bottle, but if you have your wits about you, buy wine either at the airport before you go to the resort, and store it in the fridge in your room, or hire a taxi and go to the nearest super market, but you may not find the range?

    What we did was we bought lots of alcohol from the airport shop (although it is cheaper to get alcohol from Kuah town) at ridiculous prices !!!

    It's worth hiring a car to explore the rest of the island for a day (great shopping and culture), but otherwise we found very little reason to leave the resort.

    They have many materials translated into Japanese, so I’m guessing that’s a big market for them.

    The night market was however a huge disappointment – only worth going to if you want to try the local ‘hawker food’ or pop out for some cheap wine in the nearby stores (around 28 MR a bottle which is quite a difference to the hotel).
