We had booked a lake room but these were undergoing renovation so we were given a poolview room which was very nice.

However, our experience was absolutely fine - sure, the rooms are a little tired decor-wise, but this is more than made-up for by the genuine friendliness and charm of the staff and the beautiful setting of the property.

The hotel rooms are nice and big, but very cosy.

The hotel was in a good location and we had a very nice room even though it was too near the lobby and we could hear the house band each night.

It would be good if the hotel would develop some family suites for those families who would like their children in the same suite but would also appreciate some couple time.
