The food, in particular the breakfast buffets were excellent and in general quite reasonable value but we felt the drinks (even the non alcoholic ones) were very expensive when compared with hotels of similar standard in Kota Kinabalu (eg Le Meridien - drinks almost half your price) and elsewhere.

However, if you are ok with a large completely soulless place with hundreds of people eating and talking alongside you, cookie-cutter rooms, and cookie-cutter service, then of course, the Sutera is value for money.
