    In particular, the boutique shops: 'Jim Tomphson' and 'Ferntree' were a source of quality shopping.

    it was great food but if you are an avid shopper its not great for clothes etc but for little nik nak items such as souvenirs it is wonderful and the markets are excellent you feel quite safe, also you should visit the irish pub on the water...

    The malls were quite small specially when compared to the numerous gargantuan ones in Manila, but they were interesting anyway to have a look.

    KK centre is definitely worth visiting; it is a modern city but with a lot of old areas - the various outdoor markets are well worth visiting as are the modern shopping malls.

    The shopping is average and I would suggest that if you are looking to do any serious shopping, then perhaps spend a few nights in Kuala Lumpur in association with your trip to KK.

    The new shopping centre next to Centrepoint, is very funky (as a consierge person told me), Esprit, Quiksilver etc but the prices were very similar to Aust prices.
